Karin Janssen is a Dutch visual artist and gallery owner, dividing her time between exhibiting in both London and the Netherlands and running her gallery: Karin Janssen Project Space in Hackney, London. Janssen’s work researches how crude emotions can alter the appearance of the physical body by creating large, seductive drawings that lure us in and then confront us with our own abject inner-self. In her independent exhibition space she curates shows of both emerging and established artists from the UK and abroad.

24 Artists from the Netherlands and 24 from the UK are all creating a new piece of work responding to the work of another artist in the project, thereby creating a chain of artworks. Examining the differences and similarities between English and Dutch artists, Chinese Whispers will result in an exhibition that will be shown in Karin Janssen Project Space, London, UK, and Gallery Nasty Alice, Eindhoven, Netherlands.
